PORTICO promise swirling synths and somnolent beats when they perform at new venue Headrow House in Leeds on November 21.
The band will be accompanied by Jono McCleery when they bring their Living Fields tour to the city.
Portico, formerly Portico Quartet, perform new electronic music bordering on the hallucinatory, somewhere between structured pop songs and a disintegrating ambience.
They proclaim their music a diffuse blend of the sublunary and the celestial where reverb-drenched pianos mesh with swathes of ambient noise.
The Times praised Portico for deep, complex instrumentation and pristine electronics, while Drowned In Sound proclaimed their latest album "loud and confident".
