THERE will be a festive flavour to Glusburn Institute’s monthly film club on December 18.

The venue will screen British comedy movie Get Santa, which was originally released for Christmas last year.

Jim Broadbent, Rafe Spall, Warwick Davis and Kit Connor star in the tale of a nine-year-old boy who finds Santa Claus his garden shed after crashing his sleigh.

It is just a few days before Christmas and Santa is desperate to return to Lapland in time for the important night.

Santa asks Tom and his dad Steve for help, but Steve is reluctant because he has just been released from prison and wants to spend time with his son again.

That plan is thwarted when Santa attempts to liberate his reindeers from Battersea Dogs Home and is thrown into prison himself.

The “heart-warming and adventure-packed” film was written and directed by Christopher Smith and executive produced by Ridley Scott.

Get Santa will be shown on December 18 at 7.30pm. Visit gicac.org.uk or call 01535 630223 for further information.
