IT’S GOING to be a blue blue Christmas at the Octagon!

Notorious comedian Roy 'Chubby' Brown returns to the Keighley club after going down a storm during previous appearances.

He will be at John Pennington’s Octagon, in Bradford Road, Sandbeds, on Tuesday, December 8.

Chubby has been hailed as Britain's bluest comedian, lewd, crude, often insulting, sometimes shocking, but always entertaining.

The comedian always warned his audience that if they are easily offended they should stay away.

A spokesman said: "He has become a huge superstar without appearing on television. His comic appearance in a multi-coloured funny suit and flying helmet is not far removed from the traditional circus clown.

"His delivery, style, comic songs, funny walk and dance is all contained in a genuinely funny man.”

Chubby toured the UK every week of every year for the past 30 years, and his DVDs still sell in their tens of thousands.

Chubby's DVDs regularly sell more than 60,000 copies each, fuelled by performances in front of a total of 1.5 million people.

Chubby is a former steelworker, cook, waiter, van driver, hod carrier and drummer, who has never looked back since becoming outrageous.

Octagon owner John Pennington said Chubby’s act was frank and crude yet he created a common bond with his audience.

In February last year a second date had to be added after the first one sold out.
