SUGAR Daddies is the next play to be performed by Bingley Little Theatre at the town’s Arts Centre

Alan Ayckbourn’s comedy drama will be presented by the amateur theatre group from February 29 to March 5.

The play begins with Sasha helping an old man, who is dressed as Father Christmas, into her flat, after he is hit by a car near a children’s hospital.

Sasha came from Norfolk two months ago to study catering, while Val claims to be retired from the serious crimes squad.

But he is paranoid about being run over, and the tone of a phone call to his nephew suggests he is more of a gangster.

Then Sasha’s older half-sister Chloe arrives home, horrified that Sasha let a stranger into the house.

As Sasha becomes showered with gifts, Chloe’s relationship with her boyfriend is in tatters, also creating tension.

The twists and turns unfold with the arrival of more people, in what is described as an engaging play with strong characters.
