GUIDED walks are being organised for the spring and summer at St Ives, Ilkley Moor, Sutton, Bolton Abbey, Cowling and Brontë country.

Volunteers will lead at least two walks each week across Bradford district as part of the council’s Countryside Service programme.

There will also be walks at Draughton, Shipley Glen, Otley Chevin, Nidderdale, Apperley Bridge, Northcliffe park in Shipley, Mickle Moss, Ickornshaw, and Weecher Reservoir above East Morton.

The next walk is on Saturday, April 23, travelling around three miles along the River Wharfe and back, and meeting at the junction of Station Road on Main Street, Burley in Wharfedale, at 10.30am.

Ling Park and Primrose Hill is the location of a six-mile circular walk on Wednesday, April 27, setting off at 10.45am from the Old Packhorse Bridge, Stockeld Road, Ilkley.

Walks in May will take in Thornton, Ilkley, Addingham, Wyke, Oakenshaw, Lunds Tower at Sutton, Keighley Moor, Oakworth, Newsholme and Slippery Ford.

Fairy Fold is the title of an eight-mile circular walk on August 21 Sunday which will take in Keighley Reservoir and Stanbury.
