THE HOLE Note Acoustic Club is moving to Bradford’s West End as part of the current resurgence of the city centre music scene.

The Stein Bierkeller, off Great Horton Road, Bradford, will host events featuring a mix of guest artists and open mic slots.

The nights will launch on Tuesday, May 3, and will take place every first and third Tuesday of the month from 8pm, with free entry.

Guests for for the launch event are blues and roots artist Julian Socha, a regular performer in Haworth, and Yorkshire-based blues, folk and gospel artist Scott Wainwright.

Julian currently lives in Heckmondwike but has strong ties with Slovakia and the Czech Republic and brings flavours of seductive Slovakian folk influences into his music.

Scott tours extensively using voice, guitar, harmonica, foot stomps and occasional banjo in his solo performances along with “an element of homespun humour".

Stein Bierkeller general manager Jodie Hildred said: “We have a fantastic entertainment space with a big stage for our live Bavarian Oompah shows at the weekend.

“When the idea came up to use it as a platform for local musicians during the week we were all for it, as we are really keen to support both established and up-and-coming talent.”

Any musicians wanting to take part, or to ensure an open mic slot, can contact MC Craig Priestley who stages popular loved music events at venues around the North of England.
