NEW YORK bluesmen return to Keighley for a concert on June 10.

The Hitman Blues Band and the New York City Horns will be the joint headliners at Keighley Blues Club at Cougar Park.

Club bosses booked the acts as soon as they heard they were returning to the UK following their successful 2014 tour and rip-roaring Keighley performance.

A spokesman said: “Charismatic guitarist/vocalist, Grammy nominee Russell ‘Hitman’ Alexander and the rest of the band are all real deal New Yorkers.

“They know how to entertain, putting on a show of music so good that they will make you glad that music exists in the first place.

“The consummate showman Russell tells stories and jokes with the crowd and proudly features his excellent band whilst leading from the front with spiky guitar, great panache and soul.”

Since their formation in 1986 the band has shared stages with Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, The Ink Spots and Whitney Houston.
