NIDDFEST has returned to be Yorkshire Dales for a weekend of world-class authors, poets and experts in the field of nature.
The event, from August 5 to 7, consists of talks, wild swimming, den-building, gardening writers and star-gazing.
Participants include children’s writer and illustrator Helen Stephens, poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy, ‘world laureate’ Imtiaz Dharker, Mercury Prize-nominated musician Kathryn Williams, and authors Ali Shaw and Nick Davies.
NiddFest was successful launched last year.
This year there will be outdoor events like a wood walk, wild swim and picnic; authors talking about their books on topics ranging from ecology in a post-apocalyptic world to the trickery of cuckoos.
Guests range from Indian activist, editor and writer Satish Kumar to TV presenter and gardener Christine Walkden.
