A “RELIABLY stellar” line-up of mirth makers is promised as Keighley Comedy Club returns to the Café Choux Choux.
Brian Higgins and Jay Handley will finish the night after sets by two upcoming comedians and some laughs with MC Chris Brooker.
Chris said: “Headline act Brian Higgins is absolutely bullet proof in both material and delivery.
“This empassioned Scot can delivery a diatribe of anger over life's tiny frustrations in a way that will leave you gasping for breath with laughter.
“Respected by his peers and adored by audiences nationwide, he is certain to close the night in the style to which Keighley Comedy Club regulars have become accustomed.”
Support act Jay Handley is said to bear a passing resemblance to a “popular figure of religious iconography” but that's where the comparisons end.
Chris said: “This laid-back laugh merchant has a calm, steady pace and a litany of beautifully phrased filth to back it up.
“He is a rapidly rising star and one you'll want to see while he's still affordable.”
Chris said the night would begin with two acts performing shorter sets, as well as his own set.
He said: “I’m a man who hopes he’ll have lost at least six pounds in weight come July 28. Don't offer me crisps for the love of all mankind."
Keighley Comedy Club is on July 28 at 8.30pm.
