BRADFORD writer Fiona Winter has written a romance set in a dog walking club in the North of England.

A Lead To Love looks at what happens after Jess, the central character, forms the club after being unexpectedly lumbered with her grandmother's new puppy.

As a range of characters are introduced, the club provides a vehicle for psychological commentary on the human condition, in particular the relationships between the sexes.

Austin Macauley Publishers said A Lead To Love examined the connections between men and women of different ages and types and was not frightened to touch on the darker side of those as well as highlighting more positive aspects.

A spokesman said: “The novel is a charming and entertaining story combining a number of unexpected twists and turns with its underlying psychological message.”

Following an abusive relationship Fiona found herself juggling home and work life commitments for many years before deciding to return to education.

In 2011 she graduated from The University of Bradford with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, and she wrote her debut novel at the recommendation of one of her tutors.
