‘SISTER Doom' duo Chambers have released a new single in advance of their September 29 gig at the Fox And Newt in Leeds.

The Leeds band were brought together by a mutual love of grunge and horror, incorporating “heavy and hefty” riffs alongside raucous rhythms and a lyrically powerful message.

They set out to combine the raw grit of Nirvana, the infectious groove of Royal Blood and the darkly stylings of Slipknot.

This month saw the release of new single Disappear, backed by the B-side Love Song, via Warren Records.

Chambers have recently played with Black Honey Gap Dream, Sister Mantos and the Black Delta Movement, and received regular airplay from BBC Introducing.

Chambers were formed in 2014 by guitarist and singer Aeris Houlihan and drummer Ellie Churchill on Drums, labelling their music as Sister Doom.

Musically they wanted to step out of their comfort zone, displaying truth and honestly, reflecting Aeris’s status as openly transgendered.

Ellie became centrally involved in songwriting, despite being a drummer, while Aeris created an infectious, growling buzzsaw guitar sound that “commanded the groove” and drove the riffs.
