ALAN Merrill, lead singer of 70s band The Arrows, will play Otley Korks on October 11 as part of a short UK tour.
He is performing with his current band as part of RAK Records’ 45th anniversary celebrations.
Alan Merrill and The Arrows enjoyed a string of Top 10 hits in the UK, including Touch Too Much, and had their own TV show which featured guests such as Marc Bolan and David Bowie.
Alan wrote and recorded the first version of I Love Rock N Roll, a hit for Joan Jett and The Blackhearts.
The Arrows formed in 1974 and had their first UK hit on Mickie Most’s RAK label later that year with Touch Too Much.
