BINGLEY Amateurs are following up their recent spectacular production of Flashdance with another ultra-modern musical.

They will stage Legally Blonde, the stage adaptation of the hit 2001 film comedy, from November 15 to 18.

The show, which won the Laurence Olivier Award for the Best New Musical, tells the story of blonde sorority lifestyle girl Elle Woods.

She uses her charm to get into Harvard Law School in an attempt to win back her ex-boyfriend, law student Warner Huntingdon.

A spokesman said: “This action-packed musical will appeal to the present-day generation.. It features a large ensemble and several big song and dance numbers.”

The show is directed and choreographed by cast member Paul Nowland, who has directed, choreographed and acted in many productions including Billy Elliot, Guys And Dolls, Stepping Out.
