AN AFTERNOON of classical music is promised during the finale of the Pendle Young Musicians’ Bursary on October 9.

This is the final adjudication stage undertaken by young musicians competing for a share of the £16,000 prize money available to help continue their musical studies.

Performing our pianist Henry Cash, trumpet player Luke Dempsey, guitar and keyboard player Ross Munro, violinist Max Salata-Barnett and recorder player Eleanor Tomlinson.

The show is at 2pm in Colne Municipal Hall.

The Life And Music Of Jim Reeves is presented by Al Grant on October 28 at the Municipal Hall.

Expect hits like I Love You Because, He’ll Have To Go, Adios Amigo, Distant Drums, Danny Boy and Welcome To My World.

The Upbeat Beatles present a rocking version of the Fab Four on November 4.
