HOLMFIRTH Blues Weekend will be held at the town’s Picturedrome from October 7 to 9 with artists including Joanne Shaw Taylor and Dr Feelgood.
The opening night sees leading UK blues-rock singer Joanne, who has been hailed a thrilling guitarist and a powerful singer with heart-wrenching vocals.
Saturday will see Dr Feelgood, purveyors of fine British rhythm and blues like Back In The Night and Roxette, with support from Rebecca Downes and her “really hot, tight R’n’B band”.
Sunday headliners are the Ryan McGarvey Band, fronted by Eric Clapton protégé and featuring legendary bass player Carmine Rojas.
