KEN DODD’S successful career as a professional entertainer now spans over 60 years.

The legendary comedian celebrated its diamond anniversary in 2014, having made his debut in 1954 at the old Empire Theatre in Nottingham.

He returns to the Alhambra Theatre for the first time in many years on Saturday October 22, with his family show, offering non-stop gags, songs and supporting artists.

Ken said: “I have had the pleasure of appearing at the Alhambra Bradford on many occasions in variety and pantomime.

“I’m proud that the 1959/60 Jack and the Beanstalk is the record-breaking panto run of recent years.

“The Alhambra is a real theatre – steeped in theatrical history and tradition. It is an honour to play there and I have great affection and many happy memories of this lively building.”

This time Ken said the audience would be absolutely discumknockerated by a truly tattifelarius evening of laughter and songs.
