KYDZ Keighley Youth Theatre –Oakworth Methodist Church.

THIS WELL-rehearsed concert by KYDZ provided a great platform to showcase the many and varied talents of this group.

Singing solos and performing together as an ensemble the group covered numerous well known songs from a range of genres. Routines had been cleverly choreographed and the simple costumes added to the production.

Experienced members of the cast worked well with new members of the group and the show was well balanced with lots of opportunities for everyone to get involved.

As well as songs and dance routines there were a number of comic sketches and I particularly enjoyed the sketch about Arnold the Flea.

Act two had a spooky theme and the performers managed this well – giving us some scary characters, but maintaining the high standard of performance. I was particularly impressed that everyone was word perfect and spoke/sang very clearly.

We had a very enjoyable evening watching this very talented group of youngsters, who along with the adults who support them clearly put in a huge amount of energy, commitment and time.

Once again the respect and empathy displayed by this relatively young group stood out and enhanced their work together on stage.
