Joe Gideon who is performing in Leeds
GEMMA Ray and Joe Gideon bring their joint tour to the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds on Monday, October 31.
Gemma and Joe duetted on Leather & Lace in 2015 at the Barbican, at a tribute concert to Lee Hazlewood that also featured members of Portishead and Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds.
Since then both acts have released new records and this double-bill sees both perform their albums with their respective bands for the first time outside London.
Gemma Ray’s latest album The Exodus Suite features enigmatic torch song psychedelia, while Joe’s album Versa Vice is an “intensely spirited, raw, dark, rock debut”.
