ZOE LYONS is taking a stand-up comedy tour to the Leeds Wardrobe on November 23.

She is touring her critically-acclaimed Edinburgh Festival show Little Misfit as well as winning the Chortle Best Comic Award.

Over the past year Zoe has appeared on Live at the Apollo (BBC2), Channel 4 Comedy Gala, The John Bishop Show (BBC1) and Just a Minute (Radio 4)..

Zoe says she never really felt part of the gang as a child, being the “awkward gay" kid at school with a different accent and quite a severe bout of alopecia.

It was never easy for a girl to fit in if she was sporting a massive comb-over while harbouring secret desires for Charlie’s Angels.

Now Zoe has reached that point in her life when the thought of actually fitting in would be utterly terrifying, and she doesn’t want to be in anybody’s gang.

She said: "I am really looking forward to hitting the road with my new show, Little Misfit. Revisiting some favourite venues as well as performing in places for the first time.

“So many new Travelodges to explore, exciting!"

Zoe has appeared on TV’s Mock The Week more times than any other female panelist, as well as competing on pointless Celebrities and winning Celebrity Mastermind.

Zoe has performed at the Altitude Festival in Austria, at the Udderbelly Festival in London, and she has also hosted the comedy tent at the Latitude Festival.

She took her first steps on the comedy path after training as an actress at the Poor School in London, winning the Funny Women competition in 2004 and a Best Newcomer nomination for her first Edinburgh show.

The Edinburgh Festival said the Little Misfit show brought much needed laughter and uplifting light to our present day, while the The Times said it had a jagged edge.

The Herald said: “Zoe Lyons’s impersonation of a reptilian-like Theresa May is worth the ticket price alone.”
