KEIGHLEY Model Railway Club is making tracks to a new venue for its crowd-pulling annual exhibition.

The club will hold its 42nd exhibition at University Academy Keighley instead of its long-time venue of Victoria Hall.

The club said its exhibition, planned for March 11 and 12 next year, would be spread across two well-lit modern halls.

A spokesman said the new venue in Beechcliffe offered ample off-road parking, level disabled access, full catering facilities and easy access by public transport.

He said: “We are collecting a selection of quality layouts in many scales for the show. For the hardened modeller there will be demonstrations and specialised trader support.

“For families and children we will have several layouts to entertain and amuse the youngsters adjacent to the canteen area.

“Outdoors there will be a ride on live steam railway and a G-scale garden railway”

All visitors the exhibition will be entered into a draw to win a digital train set worth up to £400 each day.
