THE LINE-UP for the third Bingley Blues Bash has been announced by organisers BAC2LIVE.

Hot UK blues rock band King King will headline the main stage during the January 28 show at Bingley Arts Centre.

King King won five separate prizes at the 2016 British Blues Awards, including best album, for Reaching For The Light.

They recently released a new three-disc CD/DVD live album.

Also playing will be Rhythm Zoo fronted by the sultry vocals of Andi Hall, straight from a number one in the UK blues charts with debut Sold For Love.

The Wolftones will open up the main stage with their infectious brand of blues funk.

A new addition to the 2017 Bingley Blues Bash is the introduction of the Blues In The Bar stage, elsewhere in the arts centre, showcasing acoustic blues soloists and duos.

Blues In The Bar will start the proceedings as the doors open.

A BAC2LIVE spokesman said: “We have taken a step up with the Blues Bash line-up and format.

“We have gone for a more contemporary, modern feel this time, with Blues In The Bar adding to the mix.

“It’s quite a coup for us to get a King King show at this point of their career when they are headlining much bigger venues than ours.”

Bingley Blues Bash will be a standing event with limited reserved balcony seating and a café style bar area.

BAC2LIVE had been organising rock and blues shows at Bingley Arts Centre for the past few years.

This year’s highlights have included a sell-out show by heavy rock supergroup The Dead Daisies with Inglorius, and Hawklords performing with Keighley band Wolf 359.

The spokesman added: “Both the previous Blues Bash shows were very well attended with 2016, headlined by Chantel McGregor, being a complete sell-out.”

Coming up at Bingley Arts Centre on December 14 and 15 at 6.30pm is the Rivmix Extravaganza 2016 with children from a local dance school.

Bingley Little Theatre will present Tim Firth’s Christmas comedy The Flint Street Nativity from Monday to Saturday, December 5 to 10.
