THE BREATH are taking raw, soulful, mesmeric, richly-textured and lushly-constructed music to Clitheroe.
Born out of the ferment of Manchester’s thriving music scene, The Breath is the new band project of former Cinematic Orchestra guitarist Stuart McCallum and singer and lyricist Ríoghnach Connolly.
The new band set out to mix Irish folk influences with mesmerising guitar riffs, anthemic themes and powerful hooks.
Expect distinctive soundscapes and Connolly's powerful and soulful vocals on hypnotic and heart-achingly beautiful songs.
Jazzwise magazine described the sound is “contemporary folk meets Bat For Lashes”.
See The Breath at the Grand on December 14. Call 01200 421599 or visit thegrandvenue.co.uk to book tickets.
