JACK AND The Beanstalk is this season’s pantomime at Colne Municipal Hall.

The show, as usual put together by George Critchley for PMA Promotions, will run from January 7 to 22.

George promises a cow, some magic beans, a never-ending beanstalk and a ferocious giant.

Shorelle Hepkin, from CBBC’s Wolfblood, returns to Colne following her successful run as the Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty in 2015.

In the latest show she will also play the Fairy.

Joining her will be East Lancashire’s favourite Dame, Keith De’ Winter, direct from his role as Goss Toowers in the latest Star Wars blockbuster.

Back by popular demand, Darren John Langford goes from wimp to villain this year, to play the part of Fleshcreep, the Giant’s sidekick.

Joshua Bowen, who played Jack in the last production of Jack And The Beanstalk at the Muni, returns to the role for 2017 – but this time he is a lot more manly and grown-up.

A spokesman said: “The show wouldn’t be the same without George Critchley, who returns for his 21st consecutive season to play the part of Silly Billy, as well as produce and direct this musical masterpiece!

”Join us to see if our hero Jack can climb the beanstalk to battle the Giant - and his evil sidekick Fleshcreep - and rescue the Princess.

“Along with a full, professional, supporting cast and all the traditional ingredients of a fun-filled, family pantomime, this is sure to be a treat for any age.”
