KEIGHLEY’S international film festival RATMA is going 3-D!

The River Aire Ten-Minute Amateur film festival this month opened for entries and is inviting movies shot in three dimensions.

They will join films in traditional formats in categories such as animation, art, comedy, documentary, drama, music, sci-fi thriller.

The festival, now in its fifth year, aims to give up-and-coming filmmakers a platform to show their work.

In previous years RATMA has attracted entries from across the world, as well as a strong showing by Keighley-based filmmakers.

The deadline for entries is August 20, and the festival will be held later in the year. Proceeds will go to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Festival director Marcus Gregg said: “Last year, it was an excellent festival. This year we have more plans to make the event bigger and better.”

The one-day festival features screenings of all the shortlisted films at Keighley College, followed by a screening of winners’ films at Keighley Picture House.
