ORGANISERS of a Keighley soul music night have moved across the road to a new venue.
The bi-monthly Northern Soul nights were last year held at the Exchange Arts Centre, Russell Street.
David Shackleton, one of the organisers, said: “The Keighley soul fraternity are starting our 2017 soul events at our smaller sister venue the New Variety Club in Russell Street.
“We will be doing the events on a bi-monthly rota from February and all are on Saturday nights. We are also doing two all-day soul Bank Holiday Sundays in May and August.
“We run from 8pm to 1am with a small door charge of £3.
“We play original American and British vinyl records on the original format from the year they were produced, mainly the 60s and 1970s.”
This year’s Saturdays will be April 8, June 10, August 12, October 14 and December 9.

Keighley also has the long-running Okeh Soul Club which meets every two months at Victoria Hall.
