STEETON Male Voice Choir will perform at Cliffe Castle Museum in Keighley on March 26 at 2pm.

The choir will appear at the Bradford Council-run visitor attraction as part of its Music at the Museum Concert Series.

Choir publicity officer David Barraclough said: “It will give visitors the chance to relax and enjoy the fabulous surroundings of Cliffe Castle whilst being serenaded by the warm sound of a local male voice choir.”

The choir last month began its performance year with a joint concert with Bingley ladies choir Opus 44 at the Octagon club in Sandbeds.

Meanwhile, during Monday evening rehearsals at Steeton Methodist Chapel, the choir has recently welcomed a few new faces.

Mr Barraclough added: “A few more choristers would be nice as we embark on a busy concert schedule including an eagerly-awaited tour to Northern Ireland where we are appearing in concert at Belfast Cathedral and The Giant’s Causeway Visitor Centre.

“Rehearsals are held every Monday at 7.30pm at Steeton Methodist Chapel and anyone contemplating joining or even just to experience a rehearsal would be made very welcome.”

Anyone interested in joining the choir should email David Barraclough at djb@robinson-birdsell.co.uk for further information.
