A TRIO of famous musicals have been announced for Bradford Alhambra.

Rock ‘n’ roll romance Grease will be staged from October 9 to 14, dramatic Blood Brothers, from October 30 to November 4, and Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Sunset Boulevard from February 5 to 10.

Grease, which follows the on-off romance of teenagers Danny and Sandy, is described as the original high school musical.

It features all the unforgettable songs from the hit movie including You’re The One That I Want, Grease Is The Word, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Sandy and Greased Lightnin’.

Tom Parker, from boy band The Wanted, will play his first-ever theatrical role as ‘bad boy’ Danny, while Over The Rainbow winner Danielle Hope will be Sandy.

Louisa Lytton, from TV soap EastEnders’ and Strictly Come Dancing, will play goodtime girl Rizzo.

Blood Brothers, written by Willy Russell, tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with fateful consequences.
