A FEAST of folk is on offer from two popular local groups at the Exchange Arts Centre on Saturday, April 8.

Annie Drury and her band headline the gig at the Russell Street venue with alternative, soul and funk music.

Also performing will be duo Felka who have built a following through gigs at Keighley and Worth Valley venues, as well as around the district.

Annie was born into a musical family from an Irish folk background. Her father was a singer-songwriter and her late grandfather was a well-known flautist in the London/Irish music scene from the late 1940s. Both were strong inspirational figures during Annie’s early years.

Annie’s own songs feature a cast of colourful characters and poignant events, and are delivered with witty prose and a boundless imagination.

Annie has been featured on the BBC Radio 2 playlist with her single Someday.

Coming up on April 12 and 19 are the first two heats of the Emerging Talent competition, each gig featuring six bands vying for a place on the Bingley Music Live main stages.

Sky Valley Mistress will be joined by Monolith Cult and Six Feet Below for a heavy rock gig on April 14.
