EYE In The Sky is the latest movie to be screened at Glusburn Institute.

The 15-certificate film, starring Helen Mirren and the late Alan Rickman, will be shown at the arts centre venue tomorrow.

Eye In The Sky explores the implications of modern drone warfare.

Set in Nairobi, Kenya, it follows a drone operation where the British, US and Kenyan governments have teamed up to capture a wanted terrorist.

As the drone operator prepares to launch a missile at their hideout, a nine-year-old girl is spotted in the vicinity, sparking an international debate about whether saving one child’s life is worth the possible death of hundreds of others.

The film premiered at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival in 2015, and was the last live-action film to feature Rickman, who died of pancreatic cancer in January 2016.

The bar opens at 7pm and the film starts at 7.30pm Visit gicac.org.uk or call 01535 630223 to book tickets, priced at £5.
