A HAWORTH woman is among five artists whose work is being shown daily on Bradford’s Big Screen.

Judy Sale is among artists displaying work in a variety of media, including metal sculpture, abstract art and vibrant pastel work.

Images of the work are screened daily in City Park as part of the ongoing Not Just Hockney exhibition, which focuses on five different artists each month.

The project, which aims to provide outdoor gallery space to artists, is supported by Bradford City of Film, and is curated by Silsden arts enthusiast, Colin Neville, to promote local artists.

He said: “The artists all have their own very unique ways of looking at the world, which makes curating my website a pleasure.

“All professional artists approach a task in a different way, and they all bring their own styles and personality into their art work.”

Judy Sale is a Haworth-based artist, who uses a range of art media to paint predominantly abstract work, often influenced by her past work and travels.

Judy’s was a founding director of a Centre for Contemporary Art in Cyprus and her work has been shown in Britain and overseas, including solo exhibitions in Yorkshire, London, Canada, Italy and Cyprus.

Another of the artists, Linda (Clowes) Harrison, is a colourist painter, using soft pastel and oil paint, both traditionally and experimentally, on a range of surfaces, including handmade papers, textured card, canvas or fabric.

Lisa Vallo is a Bingley artist, who designs one-off art panels and murals often influenced by her previous overseas residence and international travel.

Andy Shaw is a Bradford artist using reclaimed metal to make sculptures, often inspired by film characters.

He took up industrial art over 16 years ago as a hobby after qualifying as a mechanical engineer.

Liz Tolan is a Bradford artist. Her current paintings and creative ideas are often inspired by family photographs and the emotions and memories generated by these.

Images of all five artists’ work are shown on the big screen every day this month at 12.30pm. Visit bradford-city-of-film.com/big-screen for details.
