BRADFORD band Glass Mountain have teamed up with Leeds outfit Brooders for a co-headline national tour.

The pair can be seen at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds on June 17, as well as the Crescent in York on June 27.

Fringe Culture said Glass Mountain came from the same area of post-rock where you would find Sigur Ros, providing an immediate atmosphere of almost eerie proportions that sneaked into the listener’s consciousness. Vibrations magazine said the band busted glacial melodies with an explosion of noise like “a dirty Floyd, full of discord and unease”.

Glass Mountain arrived last June with the debut EP Glacial, grabbing the attention of Clash Magazine and Tom Robinson at BBC Introducing.

And XYZ magazine placed Glass Mountain firmly in the category of cinematic alt-rock, with sky-high, life-affirming guitar music that empowered and devastated in equal measure, with a heart-wrenching balance of aggression and delicacy.
