TICKETS for this year’s Bingley Music Live gone up by £10 each following the end of ‘early bird’ sales.

Tickets for the full three-day festival at Myrtle Park – where the line-up has been finalised – now cost £70.

From September 1 to 3 there are a host of nationally-known acts including Manic Street Preachers, The Kaiser Chiefs, The Wombats, Maximo Park, Pete Doherty, Soul II Soul, Feeder, Milburn and Cabbage.

Badly Drawn Boy, Twin Atlantic and Sundara Karma will also be taking to the main stage across the weekend.

Music fans will also have the chance to catch some of the UK’s hottest new acts on this year’s Discovery Stage, headlined by overnight sensation Tom Grennan, London band The Big Moon and hotly-tipped locals The Orielles.

Also rubbing shoulders with the main acts will be the four bands who won this year’s emerging talent competition. This year the winning bands were Your Illuminations, Able’s Army, The Harriets and Sifaka.

The event will boast 36 acts over three days and two stages as well as a children’s play area, real ale, gin and cocktail bars as well as great food and a market area.

Steve Hartley, Bradford Council’s Strategic Director,, said: “The line-up for our festival this year is amazing and we’ve got some really big names coming to Bingley which I’m sure people will really enjoy, as well as some fantastic up-and-coming acts who I am sure are on the edge of greatness.”
