NINE acts will perform at the first Oakworth Music Festival on Saturday August 5.

Top local bands like Your Illuminations, Fail The Enemy and Wolf 359 can be seen at the Golden Fleece from noon to 11pm.

Also on the bill are Ghost Marshalls, We Built A Mountain, Christy Sherry, Fling, Twintwo and Sleepy Jake & Danny Duvet

Wolf 359 are a six-piece heavy rock and symphonic metal group from Keighley with a powerful female lead singer.

A spokesman said: “They are propelled into the stratosphere by the explosive voice of Zoey Phoenix, who can be sweet or deadly on the flip of a coin.

“Kissing with a fist, Wolf 359 is what happens when the kids get into their parents’ record collection and think ‘I could do that...’”

Anthemic pop-rockers Your Illuminations say they have been on a non-stop rise since their small beginnings in the North Yorkshire heartland.

A spokesman said: “They are set to explode onto the national scene with their stadium-sized choruses and crowd-energising stage presence. “

Acoustic singer-guitarists Sleepy Jake and Danny Duvet are half of a reggae/bluesy/punk rock band from Bradford.

They were one of last year’s emerging talent winners for Bingley Music Live and are currently working on their debut album.

Ghost Marshalls are a band borrowing from rock, indie, pop punk, electro and spoken word.

A band spokesman said: “We were born from a desire to do something different and write songs that inspire movement.

Fail The Enemy hail from Keighley and are made up of singer Nathan Lawton, percussionist Bailey Roper, guitarist Elliott Green and bassist Dexter Riley.

Twintwo is 22-year-old rapper Robert Winterburn from North Yorkshire who has become popular on social media, with his Twintwo EP gaining over 19,000 views.

We Built A Mountain is a popular five-piece band from Leeds who have built up a huge following with their special brand of funky/pop and delicious melodies.

Christy Sherry is an accomplished guitarist and singer/songwriter from Bradford. Fling have recently started taking part in UK tours.

Wristbands for the Oakworth Music Festival are available for £6 from the Golden Fleece, the Exchange Arts Centre in Russell Street, Keighley, and the Bilaluci Cafe Bar in Silsden.
