FOLK duo Clive Gregson and Liz Simcock will play Black Dyke Mills at Queensbury on October 7 with songs from their first joint album Underwater Dancing.
Clive’s songs have been recorded by many artists, including Nanci Griffith, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Kim Carnes, Claire Martin, Smokie, Norma Waterson, Matt Cardle and Fairport Convention.
The 1980s saw Clive’s acclaimed partnership with Christine Collister and his solo career has also been accorded similar accolades.
In 2015 Clive asked singer Liz Simcock to join him in a UK tour, revisiting songs from Gregson and Collister days – songs which had inspired Liz to begin songwriting.
The 2015 tour was a resounding success, so much so that Clive and Liz decided to keep the train rolling, record a CD of new Gregson songs, and play more duo shows to support the release in October 2017.
