A KEIGHLEY museum unveiled its new costumed guides during a special event for National Heritage Days.
The existing volunteer guides at the Ingrow Loco Museum and Workshop will in future wear period dress from the glory days of steam.
Already experts in a range of railway matters, they have donned the guise of various people who worked on the railway during Victorian times.
If visitors are lucky they will encounter one of the guides who is a recognised expert on The Railway Children after taking part in filming on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway four decades ago.
Keith Whitmore, from the Bahamas Locomotive Society, which runs Ingrow Loco, said: "We’re very excited about the new costumed guides.
“Visitors could encounter a driver, guard, a fireman or signalman. They answer questions in character.”
The costumed guides are part of a long-term education project funded by the lottery at Ingrow Station and entitled Rail Story.
