THE SECOND comedy night at the High Adventure Centre in Cowling raised £2,142 for charity.
Proceeds of the September event will be split between the Alzheimer’s Society, South Craven School PE department and the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association.
Organisers say the comedy nights have become so successful that the next one will have to be moved to the Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton to create extra space.
Malcolm and Karen Weaving, from the Rendezvous, have offered to provide the venue for free during the event on May 11 next year.
The proceeds will be split between Mr Weaving’s chosen charity Petal, and a cause to be chosen by High Adventure.
The latest comedy night featured stand-up star Tom Wrigglesworth, an Edinburgh Fringe award-nominated comic renowned for his disarmingly charming delivery.
Also on the bill was Duncan Oakley with his infectious mix of musical comedy and stand-up, and one-man comedy machine MC Dan Nightingale.
