WICKED is flying back to Leeds Grand Theatre next year from June 13 to July 7.

The cast has been announced for the latest outing of the Broadway and West End smash portraying the ‘untold story of the Witches of Oz’.

In Leeds the show will star Amy Ross (Elphaba), Helen Woolf (Glinda), Aaron Sidwell (Fiyero), Kim Ismay (Madame Morrible), Emily Shaw (Nessarose) and Iddon Jones (Boq).

Amy Ross has most recently been starring in the hit musical Kinky Boots in the West End.

Helen Woolf has recently appeared in the London production of Wicked and as part of the tour that came to Leeds in 2014.

Aaron Sidwell has just finished playing Steven Beale in the BBC’s EastEnders, while Stephen Pinder, who plays The Wizard, is best remembered as Max Farnham in Brookside.

Wicked was seen at the Grand in 2014 by more than 42,000 people.

The award-winning show is based on the best-selling novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire that re-imagines the stories and characters originally created by L Frank Baum in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

The producers said Wicked had become a global phenomenon featuring technical wizardry, stunning costumes and show-stopping songs, including Defying Gravity.
