AN OUT-of-this-world festive adventure with Santa is promised at the Victoria Theatre.

Santa’s Mixed Up Martian will be staged at the Halifax theatres’s Green Room Bar from Thursday to Saturday, December 7 to 10.

There will be multiple show times over the four days, when children have the chance to join in with the adventure, as well as meet Santa and receive a gift from him.

The show will feature Santa, Ellie the elf and Rudolph, who are joined by a visitor from outer space.

This is a friendly, multi-coloured mixed-up Martian who has had to make an emergency landing on Earth after he was blown off course by a solar wind, just as he was nipping out on his space scooter to buy a Mars bar.

Santa’s Mixed Up Martian has been written by Iain Lauchlan, creator of The Tweenies, and gives kids the chance to join in with the action and sing along with their favourite songs.

The children will help Santa and Ellie find a way to get their confused visitor back home to Mars.

As an added festive treat, children will be able to meet Santa, give him their Christmas letter and receive a small gift from Santa. The show runs for 35 minutes, followed by a meet-and-greet.

A spokesman for the Victoria Theatre, said: “Santa’s Mixed Up Martian is an unmissable interactive treat for all children up to the age of six, and will ensure the festive season gets off to a sparkling start.

“With the event being held in the Green Room Bar, the audience size is smaller and more intimate, so children are closer to the action on stage.”
