KEIGHLEY people can have a chuckle while thinking about life and faith thanks to the Salvation Army.

The church on High Street will host a performance by comedian Tom Elliott on February 24.

Tom, whose fans include TV actress Miranda Hart, reaches thousands of people each year at live events in churches, schools, as well as on TV and radio.

He is the founder and director of The Affirming Life Trust, a Gloucestershire-based charity that supports his work and enables him to pioneer creative ways to share the Christian message.

The Trust works to stimulate conversations about life and faith churches, schools and theatres.

He is also an ambassador for international charity Compassion which works to see children released from poverty.

Tickets for the February 24 performance cost £5 for adults and £3 for under-16s. Tickets are available from the Salvation Army, church, or by calling 01535 403494.
