Keighley Blues Club hosts and appearance by champion harmonica player Errol Linton this month.

Errol, three times winner of the UK Blues Harmonica Player of the Year, headlines on June 12 with his band Blues Vibe.

The music will be blues with a nod to Errol's Caribbean heritage, combining 50s Chicago blues with gentle Jamaica rhythms.

Lilting reggae rhythms serve as a colourful backdrop to a full repertoire which doffs a cap to Papa Lightfoot, J.B. Lenoir, Willie Dixon and Howlin Wolf.

The Independent newspaper said Errol provided "blues, swathes of reggae and a little jazziness adding extra dimensions".

Chicago Shuffle and Kingston Skank, strong melody and clean-drawn rhythmic strokes, all contribute to an unrivalled live reputation.

Support comes from local blues guitarist Chris Dunn. Tickets £7, phone 01535 600310.
