A historical play set in Keighley is due to be performed in London for the first time.
John Waddington-Feather based his play Garlic Lane on his childhood in the 1930s in Lawkholme.
The play, which is written in verse, is based on a rugby league game and the following week's events.
It was first performed at Leeds Civic Theatre in 1973 won the Burton Award for its 1998 presentation at Bingley Little Theatre The play will be revived next January for performances at the Rosemary Branch Theatre in Islington.
Mr Waddington-Feather, who has lived in Shrewsbury for many years, is an Anglican priest and a former prison chaplain.
He has written many works, published by his own Feather Books, including detective novels, historical sagas, children's stories and fantasy.
Mr Waddington-Feather was the first chairman of the JB Priestley Society and is now its vice president.
