A Keighley-born writer has self-published a book featuring four children's stories.
Mark Pennington's heroine in the £4.99 paperback is enterprising young girl Bolta Lighting.
In the stories she visits a boatmaker, a prison, a haunted mansion and a theme park.
Mark, a member of Leeds Writers' Circle, wrote the book at his present home in Horsforth.
He said: "Its local authorship and northern setting may lend it considerable appeal to readers."
