Romantic comedies? We love them in our house, even the naff ones so long as the leading man and woman have some charm.

This one initially promised more than most: not only rom-com queen Drew Barrymore but a very sharp, very funny and very rude script.

This brought a freshness and originality to the tale of a couple whose chance meeting and whirlwind romance in New York comes just before the girl moves back to San Francisco.

The pair continue their relationship through phone contact, interference from friends and relatives threatening their chances of success, and the movie's like Sleepless in Seattle with sexting.

It's also got many squirm-inducing moments, too many for my wife who gave up after an hour. I did intend to go back to it, honestly, I did I just haven't got round to it yet....
