Phantom of the Opera comes to Leeds for first time

Andrew Lloyd Webber musical The Phantom of the Opera is coming to Leeds Grand for the first time.
A new production of the show - one of the world's longest running - will be performed from August 8 to September 15.
The design and staging are new but Maria Björnson's original costumes will be used.
The Phantom will be played by John Owen-Jones, who played the role in the West End, and Christine is taken by Katie Hall competed on BBC1’s talent show I’d Do Anything.
The Phantom of the Opera has won over 60 major theatre awards, including seven Tonys on Broadway and three Olivier Awards in the West End.
