Festival within a festival for children
A "festival within a festival" will be held for youngsters as part of this year's Keighley Festival.
Special events will include waxworks, sports, treasure hunts, heritage trails and children's performances.
The Children's Festival will run as part of the main festival, which runs from June 30 to July 14.
It will begin with One Amazing Night, a performance at Victoria Hall by students of local schools.
The July 1 presentation, at 7.30pm, is billed as a "truly breathtaking show of music and dance".
Organiser Malcolm Hanson said the students, all under the age of 15, would perform a variety of styles..
They will be a didgeridoo band, samba band, rock group, Bollywood dancers, and ballroom dancers.
The primary schools taking part include Riddlesden St Mary's, St Anne's, Eastwood and Nessfield.
Mr Hanson said: "This will be a very special concert."
Invitations have gone up to school heads, local politicians andmayors, education officials and business leaders.
Other Children's Festival events include the Madame Two-Swords waxworks exhibition featuring work by local schools.
There will be football and cricket tournaments, treasure hunt, heritage trails, and choral performances in the shopping centre.
