Aluminum-ating show at Alhambra

3:40pm Wednesday 27th August 2008

The Alhambra Theatre is going metal mad next week as it plays host to a big hit from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The Aluminum Show is described as an ingenious and stunning creation of visual theatre combining dance, puppetry and illusion.

A theatre spokesman said that the show, devised by Israeli artistic director Ilan Azriel, has left audiences lost for words across Europe.

She said: "Ilan has let his imagination run riot on the theme of aluminium in all its various industrial forms to create a joyous visual fantasy."

Worms slither menacingly across the stage, huge pillows float through the air, a giant stalks the auditorium and two pipes tenderly woo each other.

Book for Tuesday-Saturday performances at Keighley town hall or phone 01274 432000.
