Stanbury pub regulars head north of the border next Tuesday to recover from the recent snows.

The Wuthering Heights is hosting a Scottish themed night of song and poetry from 8.30pm.

Jim Pickles, one of the entertainments organisers, said the pub's programme had been "decimated" by the bad weather.

He said: "Our evening with Rock Salt was abandoned and a cracking concert by Fiona Katie Roberts and Andy Hill suffered drastically reduced audience numbers."
