I've seen the Tower Circus several times over the years and never been disappointed.
The setting helps, steep seating surrounding a circus ring that fills with water at the end.
And there are always first-rate acts -- no animals of course -- recruited from across the world.
advertisement This year's presentation is no exception even if a couple of the acts aren't up to par.
There are plenty of thrills and hold-your-breath moments from the acrobats, trapeze artists and speciality acts.
Particular crowd-pleasers were an effervescent gang of Zulu acrobats, and high-flying young graduates from the Chinese circus school.
Only one performer went too far -- a contortionist who forced many of us to squirm and look away as he bent his body.
Star of the show, and deservedly so, is Mooki who should delight even people who think they hate clowns.
His comedy is both traditional and modern, verbal as well as visual, in a succession of clever, hilarious and highly original routines.
