Glamping has come under the spotlight in a play at Bingley Arts Centre this week.
Canvas is a modern light comedy written by Michael Wynne and presented by Bingley Theatre.
It is described as an entertaining and witty look at the stresses and struggles of modern family life.
Deep into Wales go Alan and Justine, who believe that taking their children camping will help solve their marital problems. But it’s hard to keep secrets within the canvas walls and their neighbours are a colourful group.
Meet bossy teacher Bridget, lovestruck Rory, suave and successful Alistair, his perfect wife Amanda and shambolic campsite owner Bronwyn.
Canvas, first performed at the Chichester Festival in 2012, is directed by Steve Mason who has directed many plays in Ilkley.
The cast includes Jacqueline Scott, Bruce Sturrock, Yvonne Templeton, Jonathan Scott and Keighley Playhouse regular Dale Chadwick.
The play runs until Saturday at 7.30pm. Call 01274 567983 or visit ticketsource.co.uk to book tickets.
