Bingley Little Theatre will next month present a classic modern drama by Harold Pinter.
The Birthday Party is set in a rundown seaside boarding house where the happiness of several people is about to be destroyed.
Landlady Meg dances around her dining room while teenager Lulu claps and laughs.
Birthday boy Stanley sits motionless in the middle of the room, then two diabolically bureaucratic visitors arrive.
The play, which fulfils the Pinter promise of mystery and menace, is performed at Bingley Arts Centre on May 19 to 24.
The season will finish on June 30 to July 5 with an adaptation of BBC sitcom Fawlty Towers.
